The time for the Tour de Fleece is fast approaching. What is it? Well, basically it is an internet thing where handspinners spin along with the Tour de France. The aim is to spin everyday the riders ride and then share your spinning online in various "Teams".
It's lots of fun. You get to show off your yarns/fibres/spinning tools/animals and check out everyone elses stuff and there are even prizes to be won.
This year I am going to have trouble with the basic aim - spin everyday - as I am going to a juggling camp for the first week and then taking a few days off to go to the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show (where there should be spinning but there will probably only be purchasing). But I'm sure I'll still get some things completed.
This is a pic of my finished yarn from last years Tour:
And one more thing....if you are taking part in the Tour this year, or even if you aren't, you can get 15% off your purchase from my Etsy shop HalfBaked HandDyed from now until the end of the Tour. Use the coupon code "TDF2013" at checkout. Happy spinning!
